It was a warm sultry afternoon so took the chance to air the house after all the rain and damp of last week. Went into 11am mass at the cathedral - it was being televised for Asia Downunder - diversity in Auckland. The congregation is 80% Asian these days with many families and young people.
Yesterday we went on a bus trip to Kaiaua again - this time with a Grey Lynn group - nice to get out into the countryside. We had a show - a couple of older singers performing their kind of music in an old fancy theatre, then we had fish and chips and coleslaw in a renowned fish and chip restaurant down there. D and I had a short walk along the beach before it was turn around time and time to go home again. The godwits have well and truly gone now, leaving the beach to the local seabirds.
